Privacy Policy
LifeDiff reads a small amount of health and screen-time data to work out what changed in your week. The analysis runs on your phone. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and you can delete all of it from inside the app.
Who this is from
LifeDiff ("we", "the app") is operated by AvCreations. If you have a question about anything here, write to support@avcreations.in.
What LifeDiff reads
LifeDiff only reads the sources you connect, and it only offers you the sources that the life areas you picked actually need. You can skip any of them, and skipping is not a degraded mode — a source that is not connected is simply not analysed.
| Data | Where it comes from | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Steps, sleep, workouts, mindfulness minutes | Apple Health (HealthKit), with your permission | The sleep, fitness and mindfulness signals in your weekly report |
| Mood, context tags, notes, goals, marked moments | You, when you choose to enter them | Your check-ins and your own history |
| Notification token and timezone offset | Your device, if you turn notifications on | Sending your weekly report at 8am in your own timezone |
On iPhone, screen time is not read at all. Apple keeps that data behind an entitlement this app does not hold, so the feature is shown as unavailable rather than silently doing nothing.
What is actually stored
Individual samples are never stored. Before anything is saved, a week of readings is reduced to a handful of numbers — an average nightly sleep duration, a count of gym visits, total outdoor minutes, and so on. A stored week is roughly twenty numbers.
By default all of this stays on your device. If cloud backup is enabled for your install, the same weekly numbers, your check-ins and your reflections are stored in your own private area of our database, readable only by your account.
The analysis runs on your phone
Working out what changed between two weeks happens entirely on your device. Our servers store your history but never read it to produce your report. The one scheduled job we run reads a notification token and a timezone offset so it can tell you your report is ready, and nothing else.
Accounts
LifeDiff does not ask you to sign up. If cloud backup is enabled, an anonymous account is created for you so your history can be stored privately. We do not collect your name, email address or phone number. The only name in the app is the one you optionally type to label your versions, and that stays with your own data.
What we never do
- We do not sell your data, to anyone, ever.
- We do not use your health data for advertising or marketing.
- We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not post anything on your behalf.
- We do not read your notes, check-ins or history to build a profile of you for any purpose other than showing you your own report.
When something does leave the app
Only when you send it. Share cards are built by you, they contain only the changes you have ticked, and sensitive areas start unticked. Your notes and check-ins are never included in a share card. Once you send one, where it goes is up to the app you sent it with.
Your controls
- Skip any data source at setup, or disconnect it later in Settings.
- Switch off a sensitive area — Health, Work, Money or Relationships — and nothing inside it is measured, reported or shareable.
- Pause LifeDiff for a day, a week, or indefinitely. Paused days are not analysed.
- Hide, correct or stop tracking any individual observation.
- Delete your entire history, permanently, from Settings → Privacy. This removes it from your device and from cloud storage.
Revoking health or usage permission from your phone's own settings stops all further reading immediately.
How long we keep it
Your history is kept for as long as you keep using LifeDiff, because a changelog of your life is only useful if it is long. Delete it at any time and it is gone from our systems; backups are cycled out within 30 days. Uninstalling the app removes everything held on the device.
Who processes data for us
If cloud backup is enabled, storage, anonymous authentication and notification delivery are provided by Google Firebase, acting as our processor. They do not receive your data for their own purposes.
Children
LifeDiff is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has used the app, write to support@avcreations.in and we will delete the account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase your data, and to object to its processing. The app already gives you erasure directly. For anything else, write to support@avcreations.in.
Changes to this policy
If we change what LifeDiff reads or stores, this policy changes with it, and the app will tell you before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
